The Nebular mark

A nebula is loose dust that gathers until a star forms. Nebular pulls the scattered parts of a store, your website, your shop and your stock, into one place. The last point is orange: the star that formed.

Construction

How the mark is built

Two strokes. The two sides of a store, online and in the shop, as equal pills on a 64 grid.

The dust. Four points on the diagonal, each larger and brighter than the last, so the eye travels down toward the star.

The star. It sits at the inner corner where the diagonal meets the right stroke, overlapping it, so the letter closes on the bright point.

  • Strokes: 9 wide, 40 tall, fully rounded, at x 12 and x 43, y 12.
  • Dust: on the line from (16.5, 16.5) to the star, at 22%, 40%, 58% and 75%; radius 1.5, 2.1, 2.7, 3.2; opacity .30, .50, .72, .90.
  • Star: radius 6.25 at (43, 44.5), overlapping the right stroke.
  • App tile: rounded 15, glyph scaled to 80% and centred.

Logo versions

App icon. Ivory on the dark tile. At 16 pixels the dust merges into a line and the N still reads with its orange point.

Nebular

Wordmark. The bare mark in ink beside the name, set tight in a semibold sans.

Nebular

On dark. Strokes and dust switch to ivory; the star stays the same orange everywhere.
